Premium changes
What will my premium be from 1 April 2026?
You’ll receive details about your new premium between late February and early March.
How will you update me about my premium?
We’ll send your premium notification via post or email, depending on your contact preference.
It’ll also go in your app or Online Member Services inbox.
When will my premium change?
Your new rates apply from the first payment you make on or after 1 April 2026. When that is depends on your payment frequency or when you're paid up until.
You can check which date you’re paid up to via the app or Online Member Services.

Why are premiums increasing?
A few things drive premiums up for most people with health insurance, including:

- Growing demand for health services
- Our ageing population.
We know any increase impacts our members, so we work hard to keep premiums as low as possible while still making sure you have access to the quality cover you rely on – both now and in the long term.

Yes, see the improvements we’re making to Top Extras, Mid Extras, Basic Extras and StarterPak.
How can I check what I’m covered for?
You’ll find detailed information about what you are and aren’t covered for (including your benefits and limits) in the app, Online Member Services or your product sheet. These will reflect your current cover details.
You can also refer to your Private Health Information Statement (PHIS) for a summary of what’s included in your cover. Your PHIS will be available in your app or Online Member Services inbox.
