About prepaying: amounts, deadlines and payment options

Paying for your health insurance ahead of a premium increase can be a great way to save in the long term.
Here’s some helpful info about prepaying before 1 April 2026:
How do I prepay my cover?
You can pay using any of these options:
App or Online Member Services:
- Log in
- Go to Account (for the app) or Payments (online)
- Select Make a payment
- Choose Enter amount or Select new paid-to date
- Enter either an amount (how much you want to prepay) or date (how far ahead you want to be paid up to)
- Review the amount and paid-to date
- Enter your credit card details
- Pay
BPAY
You can make a manual payment using BPAY through your phone, internet or mobile banking using your Customer Reference Number (CRN).
If you don’t have it stored, you’ll find your CRN in the premium and cover changes update email or letter (depending on your contact preference) we sent in [month].
You can also check it via the app or Online Member Services:
- Log in
- Go to Inbox
- Locate your latest Rate Change Notice
- Open the file and scroll down to the BPAY section
- Note down your CRN (underneath the Biller code)
Over the phone
Call us anytime on 1300 665 709 with your credit card details ready.
In-person
Visit the Member Care Counter at our Surry Hills, Parramatta, Hamilton or Wollongong Health Centres (credit card payments only at Wollongong) .
What is the prepay deadline?
It depends on how you usually pay your premium – here are the key dates:
Direct debit
If your next direct debit is scheduled on or after 30 March, we’ll need to receive your one-off payment by 25 March (8pm AEDT).
To avoid being charged twice and to lock in your lower rate for the period you’re paying in advance, please make your one-off payment at least 7 days before your next scheduled direct debit.
BPAY or credit card
If you pay by either of these methods, please make your payment by:
How can I check when I’m paid up to?
To see if your prepayment has gone through, you can check your paid-to date around three business days after prepaying via the app or Online Member Services.
