Can I claim for hearing aids via Extras cover?
If you:
- are on Top Extras cover with any applicable waiting period served
- submit a completed Aids and Appliances form (signed by your doctor).
You may be able to claim towards the cost of:
- purchasing a hearing aid
- purchasing batteries
- purchasing a charger.
You can’t claim towards:
- CDs or programs
- remote controls
- remote devices
- maintenance and labour fees
- subscriptions (including battery and repair).
Claiming
In addition to the Hearing aids benefit, there’s also a limit on the number of hearing aids you can claim for over a period. You can check your remaining limits via our member app or Online Member Services.
